Heard the "rusty wheel" call of the year's first Red-winged Blackbird this morning in the backyard.
Stopped with our new dog (5 year old retriever/collie from a humane society in the cities) along the Sunrise trail in Wyoming and at Linwood Forest. The snow's definitely receding and the water opening up. Temps are hovering in the fifties and the robins are out. If it weren't for the two to five inches of snow we're supposed to get between tonight and tommorow, I might be convinced that Spring were here!!
